I've just been given this monster by a work colleague. 

He got it for nothing from ebay kleinanzeigen (ebay small ads), his interest waned and it's been sat in his garage for yonks.

So far it's homed and started a print, but it's not extruding.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it - suggestions please good people.

Oh that looks familiar! Brings back memories. That cable chain running unconventional to what we are used to. You know this was the basis for the VZBot.

Mine is indeed now an AWD VZBot 330. You can have your aluminium VZBot replicate him/herself in plastic and transform a crappy printer into an awsome machine. Then you'll have two.

My history of the Tronxy X5SA I had --->   Plastic VZBot330 2WD --->   Plastic VZBot330 AWD ---> Aluminium VZBot330

I'm sure it will find new life in another printer. I'm considering building a Trident from the Artillery X1's which I no longer use—using 2040 for the frame, steppers and lead screws.
