@smirk You're comment was ringing in my head and I decided I didn't want to wait forever.  I just went ahead and did the MGN12 + TAP upgrade. I'm kinda glad I did the swap now. The probe was already a little melty after 10 hours of prints (but still working).

The probing during QGLs is way more consistent after switching to the TAP. The inductive probes were definitely less accurate.

I'm pretty stoked about getting rid of the z end stop too. I was always worried that metal rod would fall out when I was working on the printer and break everything if I fired up a print without it.

The only real problem I had setting it up was the tab on the print that trips the opto sensor was a little too short. I ended up cutting up a bad print from my plastic bin and welding it to the top of the tab with an iron to make it taller.

Here it is completed:PXL_20230212_031336812.thumb.jpg.630c9e2277392528ac91a40af09ff7e6.jpg

Had the same problem on the Trident TAP and had to weld on some plastic with a 3d pen.

I saw some people in discord had the same problem. They should update those STLs. It didn't take much at all to make it start working.
