How have you fine people gone about mounting your pi with the m2 nvme hat installed as far as I can tell there is not enough meat in the pi mount to drill it out to allow the screws to pass through it and the screws go the wrong way cause of the pillars is a pi5 with a pi nvme hat and also has the pi active cooler not sure if one of you people might have used a different stl for mounting

I hunted around and dug up the mount I used for my Pi-5. I think I got it from Printables.

Here's a screen shot of the mount. It consists of three parts, the main plate and 2 spacers.

Pi 5 Din Rail mount plate_thru holes.stl

Pi 5 DIN mount-Spacer_X2.stl

Below is the original mount plate that you screw in from the Pi side.

Pi 5 Din Rail mount plate.stl

The "thru holes" plate I modified so that you can screw the mount into the supplied hex standoffs from the bottom. The holes will fit an M3 screw but will work with M2.5's. You will need (4) 12 -> 14mm long screws.

They look nice and sturdy too

These springy DIN rail clips are taken from the original Voron design DIN clips which, BTW, I like way better than what they offer currently. Hats off to whoever came up with this design it works well, and the springy clips work better for installing and removing than the current ones. I think you're kind of stuck with the orientation but it wasn't a big deal for me so, you probably won't have an issue either. 😎👍

Just means I need a longer usb cable to which I have heaps or a longer cable to it again no big deal is more about bolting them down and can sort out the cables later

@sleepster217  The reason why people say install LITE is because a full install with a graphical use interface isn't needed and only uses up valuable storage space. Plus it interferes with other software like KAIUH. And BTW... This is what you should do for every fresh Klipper install. It's what I do.

Use the official Raspberry Pi Imager

For the OS goto "Raspberry Pi OS (other)"

image.png.d3115939c448e62fb424a49b1965e38d.png

The select "Raspberry Pi OS Lite (64-bit)

The top one that has (Compatible with Raspberry Pi 3/4/400/5)

image.png.094f9da46932ed534ac2723acd1fdc6f.png

I would also go ahead and input your SSID and PW for your Wifi, etc. from settings while your at it.

After that you can then SSH into the Pi and install KAIUH and whatever else you want/need

I'm guessing you can't SSH into the Pi. Could be a typo when you setup wifi in the imager. The best way is to insert all of your country and time zone and wifi data into the imager. If you typed in something wrong... The other way to set it is to take out the Micro SD or SSD and create a wpa_supplicant.conf file (it's possible it might already exist on the SD/SSD and all you need to do is edit it). Then edit the file and insert your wifi details, save close connect it to the pi and power up.

If you plug in an ethernet cable, you can SSH in and edit it on the Pi.

Ok got the problem sorted not sure what happened as I logged into the Pi and got a network screen and enabled the network os(bookworm) and then it worked and now the other commands are working

So i installed on kaiuh hope i spelt that right klipper and moon raker option 2 fluid and Mainsail used port 81 for the second and then installed klipper screen i hope I was ment to ? Have the btt 5 inch tft screen was going to install octoprint and call it at that and then do voron config but once I installed klipper screen I cannot interface with the pi was logging in to pi with keyboard plugged into pi and found out that the cable used for the tft is different to the standard cable as the pi5 is smaller so come to a stand still might try to log into pi via the Linux pc next to it so I can cofig it and finish the install

Now with the klipper install on the octpuss pro I don't have the psu yet is going ro be my next order in a couple of weeks can I just jumper it and use the usb or dose that cause dramas later on and I should wait for the psu ?

Is there anything I am doing wrong so far as I want to get it right I will be installing a nvme drive later but for now using a micro sd card sanddisk extreme hoping I can copy the whole config when I finally get my nvme drive

Any input will be appreciated

You only need one of the two - Fluid or Mainsail. They both are just web interfaces allowing you to control your printer. Mainsail, I would say is the most popular. No need to have both. The default port is 80 so the main interface will use that port. if you installed mainsail on port 81, you will need to specify that when opening mainsail in the web browser.

Klipperscreen needed to be installed for it to display on your bit touch screen - so yes you were meant to.

The USB only supplies 5V, and that is not enough to run your printer - it requires 24V. Best to wait for the psu and do it correctly,

Was more for the con fig bit

also I am getting a error not able to find the printer thinking it is more to do with the main board not being plugged in etc

Most likely - yes. Need to connect the board to 24V power, remove the 5V USB jumper, connect the board to your pi via USB, then you're ready to go
